Hey hey hey! Can't help but be so excited when new people submit their 31 things. Can't help but want to post them immediately...but thankfully there is a post later option so you won't get hit by all of these immediately. I met Lisa through Brent. She's dating Brent and living in Berlin. I've met her once and she might be one of the smartest people I know who has an amazing blog and great sense of humor!
Here ya go!
Well I wont let this get me down because summer plans need to be made! A few days ago Brent’s friend Jara decided to make a list of 31 summer-preparation things she wanted to get done in the 31 days preceding the official start of summer, and then asked her friends to join in. Since I love me a good list (and can’t really stand down a challenge of personal discipline) I’m going to join up as well. But since now it’s only 21 days till the start of summer, and since at least one thing on my list is, well, kind of a biggie, I’ve limited it to 21 things. Here it is:
1. start training for the Berlin Marathon (!)
2. do situps and streching and/or elastic band exercises, every other day
3. draft, test, fit, and finalize 3 basic patterns for sewing dresses
4. sew 1 summer dress
5. update the Poopsmith’s vaccinations
6. find a doctor and go for a checkup
7. mend all my clothes that need mending
8. finally attach the doors to my Ikea PAX wardrobe system (sigh)
9. clean winter clothes and coats and store them (if/when I stop wearing them)
10. begin dual-citizenship application process
11. write a contributing essay for the Empire Remixed blog
12. finish The Name of the Rose
13. pluck & groom my eyebrows regularly
14. begin dual citizenship application process
15. get a cool new haircut
16. help my friend Joke prepare for moving to Berlin
17. only wear outfits to work that I really like, rather than what I just pulled out of the closet.
18. get out of the house by 8:15 in the morning
19. finish knitting the sweater vest I started a year ago
20. send snail mail to people I love & miss
21. read the daily Bible reading and ecumenical commentary in the Neukirchner Kalender
